Ellen found Pilates after becoming a personal trainer and fitness instructor in Bozeman, Montana. Pilates changed her movement awareness in her recreational sports; cross country skiing, trail running and kayaking.
Adding to her certification in athletic training from ACE, Ellen completed the mat certification program from Physical Mind in 2005. As a yoga student for fifteen years, stretching became a regular part of Ellen’s conditioning program. She became a level one instructor in yoga through Yoga Fit in 2007. This training has allowed Ellen to fuse traditional Pilate’s movement with additional poses from yoga.
In 2008 Ellen received her comprehensive certification from the renowned Body Arts and Science international in Costa Mesa California. She chose to study under Rael Isacowitz whose depth of knowledge and practice of the complete Pilates repertoire is second to none.
Her love of encouraging others to reach their physical potential through movement has allowed Ellen to work with clients in her private studio as well as teaching the mat program at Triad. Her classes have an emphasis on detail and precision of movement, all accomplished with a sense of humor.

Louise has been a yoga student for 10 years and a teacher for the last 3. Originally from England, she grew up in London where she studied interior design before graduating and working for design consultancies in central London and the surrounding areas.
Her passion for yoga was inspired by her study with Bridget Woods Kramer, the UK’s only certified Anusara yoga teacher. She attended classes with her for 2 years before Bridget relocated to Cornwall in the South West of England to open her own dedicated yoga studio there.
At the same time, Louise’s life path took a different turn when she was made redundant giving her the freedom to make changes too. So, with yoga mat firmly in hand, she moved to beautiful Cornwall to work full time at Bridget’s yoga studio as well as immersing herself in yoga study and teacher training. This gave Louise the opportunity to study and teach yoga as well as first hand experience of the daily challenges encountered when running a yoga studio. This studio experience also fueled her obsession with neatly folded blankets!
Although Anusara is Louise’s main influence she has also studied with Iyengar, Ashtanga and British Wheel of Yoga teachers. She tries to approach teaching with a sense of fun so that classes are relaxed and welcoming to ensure a positive yoga experience. She encourages students to practice at their own pace while still providing some challenges along the way.
Using flow style sequencing and emphasis on breath to coincide with movement, she focuses on all of the good things happening in the students’ yoga to support and empower them. The use of some funky music always helps to keep things upbeat too!
Louise continues to practice with a range of teachers of differing styles, regularly attending yoga workshops and retreats and reading extensively about yoga and health. As well as teaching, Louise is a freelance writer and has been published in the UK’s Yoga magazine as well as other publications and web sites. She also dabbles in short stories but is still pondering the yoga bestseller………
Apart from the big yoga scene in SoCal, her favorite things about California are the sunny weather - obviously, the beautiful coastline – reminiscent of Cornwall and, of course, the chocolate raisins - enough said.

After two years of studying yoga in Germany under the guidance of a long time yogi, I migrated to Southern California. I came here to apply my Knowledge as an athlete and yoga teacher to the community in Orange County. After moving to the area, I realized the practice would become the foundation for my personal development and growth from that moment forward. I have been to India to study Vedanta and visited many ashrams of well-known saints.
My classes are a deep incorporation of many various yoga styles, sweetness and coming from the heart of Bhakti. My teachings stretch beyond finding strength and awareness with the physical body, and lead into flexibility and presence within the mind. I combine unique styles of vines flow, with my personal knowledge and Love for surfing and running. My classes are known to be both physically challenging as well as playful.

Pamela Ward teaches the primary series of Ashtanga yoga, a set sequence of asanas as taught by Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois. The series focuses on realigning the spine, gaining flexibility and strength and thus building a strong foundation to ward off chronic back problems that are associated with our 21st century life styles. Yoga is always about movement with the breath and in Pamela's class you will learn to engage the ujjayi breath, constricting the back of the throat to heat the air before it passes into the lungs. This heat dissipates throughout the body and helps the body to sweat and detoxify. The ujjayi breath creates the sound of ocean waves which tends to relax and reduces the tensions we carry in our bodies each day. When an entire class is engaged in ujjayi, the synchronous sound creates a rich nurturing environment that is very energizing. The most important aspect of the class is to maintain this constant breath pattern; it's not about how hard you work, but how you use the breath to help you move effortlessly through the series. You will go home feeling truly rejuvenated.
Pamela moved to Southern California in 2000 to take a position at UCI in the Division of Diagnostic Molecular Pathology. She has been practicing yoga since arriving in Irvine and has been teaching Ashtanga since May 2004. Pamela received her teacher training under the tutelage of Dawn Robinson and has completed the Yoga Studies certification courses at UCI. She is in the process of submitting all the requirements to the Yoga Alliance to become a registered member. Pamela has fifteen years of dance experience and is certified as a dance instructor through the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA, UK) teaching IDTA and Royal Academy of Dance syllabi. Upon moving from the United Kingdom to the USA, Pamela extended her dance experience under Steve Porter (Buffalo, NY), with emphasis on the Graham technique. Pamela's philosophy is to maintain an active, rewarding way of life so as to lay the foundation for a healthy lifestyle and successful aging.

After a lifetime of "yang" sports including hockey and marathoning Peter sought yoga as a way to sustain fitness and heal injuries that prevented him from enjoying many of his physical activities. "As so many have found, my first experience with yoga ignited a passion." Over the last 6 years, he has yet to find a yogi or asana style he doesn't like but is drawn to the Iyengar method with it's focus on alignment and precision. In practise and in teaching Peter's focus is to release the "immense joy and laughter" that emerges from a strong and flexible body and mind. "Yoga is truly a life transforming art that can foster growth and enjoyment in every aspect of ones life."

Rachel has been practicing yoga for the past 11 years. She began doing yoga during her education as a psychotherapist. It was during this time that she became more interested in yoga as a means for personal growth, healing, transformation and self expression. Rachel is a registered yoga teacher with the yoga alliance. She has been teaching for 7 years. She started out with Yoga Master Erich Schiffman, whose approach involves 'moving into stillness' to experience the truth of who one is. She went on to immerse herself in the Ashtanga Yoga tradition and studied and completed teacher training with Tim Miller in Encinitas, CA. After completing the Yoga Works Teacher training, which is more alignment oriented, Rachel strives to integrate the most important elements of her learnings into a practice that involves a smooth flow/ rhythm, attention to physical/internal alignment, learning to observe ones internal experience both physically and psychologically so that they are able to develop an internal connection and awareness that leads to a deeper meditative experience and a fuller experience of "Self". She believes that Yoga is a rich and vast resource offering everything from stress relief, increased fitness, strength and flexibiliy to the more elusive life-long goals of increased inner peace, greater sense of connection to oneself, others and ones surroundings. It will give to you what you seek from it.

Sarah began practicing vinyasa flow yoga twelve years ago when she was looking for something to complement other athletic endeavors, especially running. She immediately fell in love with the rhythmic fusion of breath and movement, and the deep opening that this practice brought to her mind and body. After taking many classes and working privately with a master teacher, who himself was a devoted student of Ana Forrest, Sarah knew she had happened upon something powerful and life changing. In 2004 she was certified at the 200-hour level through Yogaworks, and has been teaching yoga privately and in studios throughout Orange County ever since. She is currently a student in the Yoga Therapy Rx program at Loyola Marymount University, the most esteemed yoga therapy program on the west coast, and the only one in the country offered through an accredited university.
Sarah’s teaching style is laid-back, with an emphasis on each individual “owning” their practice by keeping an open dialogue—and a keen awareness—flowing between body, mind and breath. While offering a vigorous, lighthearted practice, usually set to music, she encourages every student to honor where they are mentally, physically and emotionally, and to work from that point to find the “edge” that is appropriate for them. Sarah has experienced and succumbed to the temptation to “muscle into” a “perfect” pose, and in doing so has experienced the consequence of injury. Injuries have become some of her most difficult and fiercely respected teachers, and have engendered her passion for the therapeutic applications of yoga. They have also brought her to the realization that “perfect” is a relative term in yoga asana. She can often be heard saying, “As long as you’re being safe and productive in your body, and cultivating awareness in your mind, you’re doing perfect yoga.”

Serra’s yoga practice began 10 years ago and has its roots in bikram, vinyasa & iyengar. She began to deepen her practice and began teaching in 2008. Since then she has accumulated 300 hours of training through White Lotus Foundation & Corepower. She has trained with Ganga White, Tracey Rich, Sven Holcomb, Jae Murphy & has been strongly influenced by Amy Kieczykowski., Deanna Ainsworth & Isabela Fortes.
Her teaching style is a progressive vinyasa with a creative force and is for yogis of all levels. Each class is different to keep the mind present so that students can get the most out of each class. Being a yogi is like being able to stand in the eye of a storm of thoughts and rest in complete stillness and peace and her dream is to teach her students how to be in that place using all branches of yoga.
